Grilled Chicken Braille Game

Title page for Grilled Chicken Braille Game

This file folder game can be used with students with low vision who are beginning to learn braille.  It is designed to give dual media students practice with the braille contractions: upon, word, these, those, whose, cannot, had, many, spirit, world and their.

Materials:
  • File folder
  • Adhesive braille labels
  • Velcro dots
  • Glue (glue sticks work the best)
  • Cut out the pieces and attach Velcro if desired. Several of the pieces are blank, so you can attach the braille symbols using braille labeling adhesive (I use the product from American Printing House).
Procedure:
  • Download Grilled Chicken Game (Word document).  Download as PDF.
  • There is a title page that can be cut out and glued to the front of the file for quick identification.
  • Glue the two sheets with the characters/symbols to the inside of the folder.
  • This packet also has an answer key and word cards.
