Non-Fiction Life Cycle Books

I have got non-fiction on the brain this summer! When I saw these two life cycle toys or models at Michaels I had to buy them and turn them into books!  

I made a book about Turtles and a book about Frogs.  I used the Life Cycle "models'" as tactile pictures and glued them onto the page.  I then added words in braille to match the tactile pictures.   Liam, my son who is deafblind, has felt turtles before, but not a frog.  I want to make sure to find him some frogs to touch to go with his new book about frogs!  This was one of my easiest book projects yet;  I was very excited to find these models and at such reasonable prices!   I usually like to use "real-life" objects as often as possible, but these still had some good details to them where it was the next best thing (in my opinion).  I did, however, add sand on one of the turtle pages!
