Alicia Blevins

I have my bachelors in modified and comprehensive special education k-12  from East Tennessee State University, my masters is in Special Education/ Visual Impairments from Trevecca Nazarene University. My Ed.S is in Educational Leadership from University of the Cumberlands and I am currently working on my doctorate degree from there as well. I credit my success to my father who has always supported me and raised me as a single father. 

 

Though this is my first year as an itinerant TVI I taught at Tennessee School for the Blind for 3 years in a Life Skills Classroom with students with multiple disabilities. I also worked as an assistant to my mentor/ fellow TVI when I was working on my undergraduate degree. 

 

I now live in the community where I grew up and want to give back not only to my community, but to also work to help other TVIs to support students with visual impairments.
