BLITAB (short for "Blind Tablet") is the latest device designed to make technology more accessible for people who are blind or visually impaired. BLITAB is the first tablet-style device that uses actual braille to read and write. The design allows users to convert any text file into braille code, which is then pushed up through raised dots in the tablet's service. It also has a standard Perkins braille keyboard for writing.
BLITAB is in the prototype stage and is not yet available for purchase.
