Adapting Geography of Paris Landmarks Worksheet
This strategy is part of a series on Adapting Worksheets. Please see the introductory post for an overview of adapting worksheets for students who are blind or visually impaired.
Thought Process in Adapting the Worksheet
The learning objective for this worksheet is clear, the pupil must be able to recognize landmarks in Paris. This worksheet would prove very difficult for a pupil with VI due to the extremely unclear images.
I have provided a picture on each page that is much clearer than the ones on the sheet, I have also provided a written description of each picture using the UKAAF image description guidelines. The pupil can then either write the name of each landmark on the image sheet or the corresponding letter.
For a non-sighted pupil I would try to provide a model of each landmark if possible, images would be raised and the description provided may be more or less detailed depending on individual need.
