Visual Acuity Tool
Submitted by Charlotte Cushman on Sep 24, 2018
The aim of this free online Visual Acuity tool is to demonstrate, to those with typical vision, the potential of vision loss and the degree of change a person with macular disease may experience. It includes simulations of the Snellen and LogMAR visual acuity charts, in which the user can change the acuity to get a sense of how a person with a specific visual acuity may be seeing these charts. Also available are simulations in traffic (images of street scenes) and at a railway station.
Developed by the Bayer Coorporation, it does not claim to provide an accurate representation of how vision may appear with any other vision condition, and does not serve as a replacement for seeking medical advice.
