Infant & Early Childhood Program iPad Curriculum
Laura Campaña, M.A., Director of the Infant & Early Childhood Program at Junior Blind, Los Angeles and her staff have compiled video clips of demonstrating how iPads can be used during in-home early intervention services to provide services to young children who are blind, visually impaired, or multi-impaired.
The video clips introduce various applications for the iPad and discusses their effectiveness in stimulating development in young children with multiple disabilities. Each clip features a different child and a discussion of why a particular app is appropriate for that individual. The apps included here are:
- Baby Finger
- Bubbles Magic
- Infant Visual Stimulation
- Kids' Songs
- Musical Hands
- Talking Larry
Ms. Campaña and her team have done extensive research on the effectiveness of the iPad as an educational tool, and this curriculum grew out of the evidence they collected in their study.
