Free Self-Paced CVI Course from California School for the Blind
Stephanie Herlich and May Nguyen of the California School for the Blind Assessment Team have created a self-paced course on CVI using the Google Classroom platform. The class is free and perfect for anyone (teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, families, etc.) who would like to gain a better understanding of Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI).
What is covered in the course?
The course covers what CVI is, causes, characteristics, screening and assessment tools, the CVI Range, and report writing. This course is a compilation of some of the best resources and information available regarding CVI. After completing the course, students will have a better understanding of CVI and will be better able to seek the necessary resources that will meet individual student needs.
